Dune Delayed Again by Three Weeks

If you want to watch Dune, you will have to wait three more weeks as Warner Bros. announced a series of release day shifts that moves Dune from October 1 to its new release date, October 22.

The delay is a result of a series of shuffles that moves around a bunch of Warner Bros. September-October film releases. Alongside Dune’s new date The Many Saints of Newark moves from September 24 back to October 1.

The Many Saints of Newark is a Sopranos prequel film that follows the elder members of the Soprano crime family when they were younger. The cast includes Jon Bernthal as Giovanni ‘Johnny Boy’ Soprano and Corey Stoll as Junior Soprano.

Clint Eastwood’s novel adaptation Cry Macho has also been pushed forward from October 22, and will now be released on September 17.

All three films will be released simultaneously on HBO Max as part of the studio’s 2021 plan to release all films day and date in theaters and its premiere streaming service.

Dune is Denis Villeneuve’s anticipated take on the Frank Herber sci-fi opus. Timothee Chalamet, Oscar Isaac, and Rebecca Fergusson will play members of the Atreides family as they take stewardship over the planet Arrakis and its spice deposits.
