New Transformers Film Vehicle Squad Includes A Porsche 964 RS 3.8 And A Nissan R33 GT-R

The Transformers franchise is ready for its next film and – as always – fans were patiently waiting to discover the vehicles that will appear on the big screen. Director, Steven Caple Jr.published a few photographs on his personal Instagram profile, revealing several vehicles from the movie set in Peru.

Besides the iconic Peterbilt 379 truck starring as the Optimus Prime, there is a second-generation Chevrolet Camaro as the Bumblebee, and a very cool-looking Porsche 964 RS 3.8 in the role of the Mirage. Behind them, we can see a classic VW Transporter T1 that will reportedly be the Wheeljack, while at the front there is a Ducati 916 superbike from the ’90s as the Arcee.

The second picture obviously shows us the villains. There is the dark-themed Mack truck that could be Scourge, a tuned Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R depicting the Nightbird, plus an orange GMC Topkick truck playing a yet unnamed role.

Those who follow the Transformers movie series already know that there is a big change happening. Michael Bay who directed the Transformers (2007), Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Dark of the Moon (2011), Age of Extinction (2014), and The Last Knight (2017) is gone, and the franchise has rebooted with a different approach.

It started with the Bumblebee (2018) spin-off directed by Travis Knight and will continue with the sequel called Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2022) directed by Steven Caple Jr who’s credits include “The Land” (2016) and “Creed” (2018).

The new movie takes place in 1994, which explains the choice of vehicles. The plot allegedly has to do with an ancient conflict between the Maximals, the Predacons, and the Terrorcons, so you should expect plenty of action-packed scenes. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is scheduled to premiere on June 24, 2022 in the US.
