Marvel Studios is currently working on 31 different projects

In the early days of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, questions were frequently asked about whether the Marvel Studios could sustain audience interest across two or even three releases per year.

Fast forward a few years, and not only is the MCU the biggest movie franchise of all time (by some considerable distance), regularly pumping out three and four blockbuster hits per year, but it’s also expanded onto the small screen in a big way with a steady stream of television projects filling in the gaps between movies on Disney+.

So far, we’re some 29 movies and TV series into the shared universe, which continues to expand at an exponential rate with fifteen more films dated for release between now and 2024, as well nine officially announced TV series. That’s a whole lot of Marvel, but as studio executive Victoria Alonso has revealed in an interview with Argentinian radio station 221 Radio (via Dark Horizons), there are actually 31 different MCU projects in various stages of development at present.

Here’s how Marvel’s upcoming movie slate lines up, including the ‘Untitled Marvel Films’ (Blade, Captain America 4 and Deadpool 3 are among the projects we know are officially in the works):

  • Eternals (November 5th, 2021)
  • Spider-Man: No Way Home (December 17th, 2021)
  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (March 25th, 2022)
  • Thor: Love and Thunder (May 6th, 2022)
  • Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (July 8th, 2022)
  • The Marvels (November 11th, 2022)
  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 17th, 2023)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5th, 2023)
  • Untitled Marvel Film (July 28th, 2023)
  • Untitled Marvel Film (October 6th, 2023)
  • Untitled Marvel Film (November 10th, 2023)
  • Untitled Marvel Film (February 16th, 2024)
  • Untitled Marvel Film (May 3th, 2024)
  • Untitled Marvel Film (July 26th, 2024)
  • Untitled Marvel Film (November 8th, 2024)

Throw in a Disney+ line-up that includes Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, Ironheart, Armor Wars, a Wakanda series, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and I Am Groot shorts along with second seasons of WandaVision and What If?, and by my math that’s eight projects currently unaccounted for (or seven if we’re counting Marvel Television’s Hit-Monkey animated series).
