Marvel Reveals Start Date Windows for She-Hulk, Moon Knight Shows

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige revealed that She-Hulk will begin production soon, followed by Moon Knight.

Both the She-Hulk and Moon Knight TV shows will begin production soon, according to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.

The Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour is marching on, and Feige spoke to the virtual event attendees today about the upcoming slate of Marvel Cinematic Universe shows coming to Disney+. According to reporter Eric Goldman, Feige said, “In a few weeks, we start She-Hulk,” and Moon Knight will follow soon after.

Marvel Studios’ official foray into television has begun with a bang, as WandaVision is currently impressing viewers and critics each week. Two weeks after it concludes in March, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will arrive in Disney+, and LokiMs. Marvel and Hawkeye are also all set to arrive this year on the streaming service. The live-action canon shows will be joined by animated series like What If…? along with behind-the-scenes looks at the various shows. And 2022 will bring with it another slate of shows, including She-Hulk and Moon Knight.

After rumors pointed to Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany landing the lead role of Jennifer Walters on She-Hulk, Marvel officially confirmed she’ll play the gamma-radiated lawyer on the show. The series will be a half-hour comedy following Walters’ career as a public defender. In the comics, she spends all of her time in Hulk form, unlike her cousin Bruce Banner. She-Hulk also retains all of her intelligence, lending to the comedy of most of her comic book outings. Feige recently confirmed the show will consist of six hours of material, pointing to 9 or 10 episodes depending on the exact running time of each. This mirrors WandaVision, which consists of 9 episodes that vary in length but all clock in around 20 to 30 minutes or so.

Moon Knight, meanwhile, will star Oscar Isaac, though his role hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. Ethan Hawke all but confirmed it, however, when discussing his reasons for joining the show as its unnamed villain. Given there’s still a bit of time before the series even begins production, it’s not surprising that so little is known about it, especially given Marvel and Disney’s notorious secrecy about their projects.

Developed by Jessica Gao, Disney+’s She-Hulk stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth and Ginger Gonzaga. The series has yet to receive a premiere date on Disney+.

Directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead and written by Jeremy Slater, Moon Knight does not yet have a release date. The series will debut on Disney+.
