The Bold Type is one of Netflix’s hidden gems and it quickly became a binge-worthy obsession for many viewers around the world.
The show, which airs on Freeform, follows three millenial friends who work at a magazine called Scarlet in New York City portrayed by actresses Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, and Meghann Fahy.
But when will the fifth season arrive on Netflix for international viewers? Here’s what we know so far.
The Bold Type: Season 5
The Bold Type returns for season 5 on Freeform on Wednesday, May 26th, 2021.
This is the show’s fifth and final instalment and comprises of only six episodes.
After working at Scarlet for a few years, this season will see Katie’s Jane Sloan, Aisha’s Kat Edison and Meghann Fahy’s character Sutton Brady live together for the first time.
Season 5 will pick up on a huge cliffhanger that involves Sutton and her husband Richard but viewers are equally excited to see what the show holds for Jane and Aisha in terms of their respective romantic and professional lives.

When is The Bold Type season 5 on Netflix?

Netflix is yet to announce an official premiere date and The Bold Type’s producers haven’t confirmed anything either.
The season 5 finale will air on June 30th and a Netflix release date after this sounds more likely.
If we take the example of Workin’ Moms, a Canadian show that airs on CBC and is available on Netflix, viewers might need to wait a few months before The Bold Type’s fifth season hits Netflix.
Season 5 of Workin’ Moms premiered on February 16th, 2021 in Canada and will be available on Netflix on June 15th this year.

Viewers in the US can watch The Bold Type on Freeform starting from Wednesday, May 26th.
Every new episode will be released the next day on Hulu, so you can watch the premiere of season 5 on Thursday, May 27th.
