A full trailer for the Army of the Dead prequel film Army of Thieves premiered during Netflix’s Tudum presentation, and it’s also been made available for you all to watch and enjoy. The movie comes from producer Zack Snyder and director Matthias Schweighöfer, and it looks like it’ll be a fun flick that will entertain.
This new movie puts the focus on the German safecracker Ludwig Dieter, who is played by Matthias Schweighöfer. In the story, “small-town bank teller Dieter gets drawn into the adventure of a lifetime when a mysterious woman recruits him to join a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals, attempting to heist a sequence of legendary, impossible-to-crack safes across Europe.”
This film takes place in Europe while America is dealing with the zombie outbreak. It also stars Games of Thrones alum Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan (Turn Up Charlie), Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin (Jamestown), Jonathan Cohen (Budapest), Noemie Nakai, Peter Simonischek (Toni Erdmann), and John Bubniak.
The screenplay for the film was written by Shay Hatten from a story by Snyder and Hatten. Matthias Schweighöfer is directing the film.
The film is set to be released on October 29, 2021.
