10 Marvel Netflix Characters Fans Want To See In The MCU

Despite the cancellation of the Marvel series on Netflix, fans continue to rewatch the episodes as they have fallen in love with many of the characters from the various shows. Kevin Feige has hinted at the possible return of several characters from the Netflix shows, and fans are eager to find out which ones will be returning.

While Disney is a family-friendly company, they do have platforms for their darker content, such as Hulu, so fans shouldn’t count out the darker characters such as the anti-hero the Punisher. With so many incredibly unique and fascinating characters from the Netflix world of Marvel, the team behind the MCU is going to have a difficult time deciding on who to include.

10 The One That Started It All, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil

Charlie Cox is not only a phenomenal Daredevil, but he also nails the role of Matt Murdock as well. Additionally, he does an excellent job of portraying a believable blind man without being too over the top. His martial skills in the series are quite good and because he is a ground-level hero with no real superpowers it makes fans root for him like he’s the underdog.

Cox’s Daredevil may actually make an MCU appearance in 2021 if rumors are to be believed. The internet has been abuzz with the idea that Matt Murdock will make his MCU debut in the third Spider-Man film as Peter’s lawyer in an effort to clear his name.

9 Vincent D’Onofrio’s Chilling Portrayal As Wilson Fisk AKA Kingpin

D’Onofrio has portrayed a wide range of characters over his career, and Wilson Fisk may be one of the more complex ones thus far. Despite being a man of exorbitant wealth and power, he remains childlike and angry at the world. This combination makes him a powerful foe indeed.

There hasn’t been a villain quite like Kingpin in the MCU just yet, and if Cox’s Daredevil does make an appearance in the third Spidey installment, who better to pit him against than his long time foe, Wilson Fisk? D’Onofrio has expressed interest in returning to the role so it seems like the ball is in Marvel’s court.

8 Matt’s Loveable Legal Companion, Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson

Foggy is a loveable chum who also happens to be long-time friends and legal partners with Matt Murdock. Despite knowing Matt for so long, he only recently learned about his night-fighting alter ego. After the initial shock, Foggy has done his best to support Matt in his physical justice endeavors and cover for him as best he can in his legal justice endeavors.

Considering most fan-favorite characters in the MCU have a loveable sidekick, Foggy would be a logical introduction, provided Murdock does show up as rumored. Even if Foggy doesn’t appear with Daredevil, he could potentially make a small cameo in She-Hulk given the shared legal backgrounds.

7 Elodie Yung’s Electric Portrayal of Elektra

Elektra is an incredibly important character in Daredevil’s comic book history and should definitely be introduced in the MCU if Daredevil is coming. While some fans believe she died in the Netflix series, there are other fans who believe she could return as the death was left somewhat ambiguous.

Marvel Comics is notorious for bringing back dead characters and there have been murmurs suggesting that Tony could be making a return in the MCU. Regardless, Marvel Studios hasn’t indicated whether or not the backstory or history will follow the character if and when they do bring Netflix characters into the MCU.

6 Daredevil’s Martials Arts Master, Scott Glenn’s Stick

While this character may have died in the Netflix universe, again, there is no indication that any of the events in the Netflix series should be considered MCU canon at this point, so his potential to return is currently wide open. Stick was a gruff older fellow who was Matt Murdock’s sensei in martial arts.

Stick’s personality would fit in great with the MCU, he could potentially mesh well with some of the other emotionally distant characters. Additionally, should Murdock enter the MCU and fans love him as much as they did on the Netflix show, Stick may even show up in an origin story capacity or flashback sequence of Daredevil’s training days.

5 Daredevil’s Medic & Luke Cage’s Previous Love Interest, Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple

Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple

Daredevil is much like Batman in the sense that he fights crime as a masked vigilante at night, operates under his given name during the day, and refuses to go to the hospital for his injuries. Lucky for Daredevil, he finds Claire Temple who happens to be a great Nurse. Claire brings Matt back from the brink of death or more than one occasion.

Claire Temple is essentially the inner-city version of Christine Palmer from Dr. Strange and also happens to have ties with Luke Cage, both professional and romantic. If the Netflix train is pulling into the MCU station, it would be a smart move to add a supporting character that fans love and who happens to have ties to two Defenders.

4 Krysten Ritter’s Hilarious Rogue Known As Jessica Jones

Krysten Ritter’s portrayal of Jessica Jones is wonderful in so many ways. She is the embodiment of a strong independent woman who doesn’t take crap from anyone. Fans are shown glimpses of her past that explain why she is the woman she is today. She had to overcome a lot of hard times in her life and struggled to understand what she was meant for.

With such a truly relatable character simply waiting in the wings, Marvel would be remiss not to bring her into the fold. In addition to being relatable and having an interesting history, she also happens to have super strength which certainly comes in handy for beating up bad guys or adding some intensity to a scene.

3 The Dastardly Charming Kilgrave, Played By The Legendary David Tennant

Despite being an absolutely awful human being, David Tennant manages to make the Purple Man not seem like a piece of human garbage. Kilgrave is a villain from Jessica Jones who has the ability to manipulate people with just his words, he simply utters a command and they are compelled to comply.

This power in the wrong hands would be truly devastating for anyone this person came in contact with. Unfortunately for Jessica Jones, she came across Kilgrave’s path and being a villain, he takes advantage of his powers in more ways than one. Kilgrave did have his neck snapped in the Netflix series, though just like the other deceased characters, nothing from the Netflix universe is set in stone for the MCU.

2 Mike Colter’s Calm, Cool, And Collected Luke Cage

Luke Cage has a pretty unique ability in that he basically has unbreakable skin, along with super strength. Cage has taken barrages of bullets, knife slashes, and even a shotgun blast to the head with his chin basically touching the barrel. While he did end up with a concussion after the shotgun, he never ended up with a single scratch.

While he does need to constantly keep buying new hoodies, he has never had to tend to any wounds after a fight. A character that can’t be hurt by sharp objects or guns would be an incredible asset at the street level as well as the big leagues.

1 Jon Bernthal’s Incredible Portrayal Of Frank Castle AKA The Punisher

Of all of the Netflix characters to be shown, fans have probably loved Jon Bernthal’s Punisher the most. He expertly plays the characters and makes fans want to root for him, despite being introduced as a villain before reconciling with Daredevil. The anti-hero is truly one of the best in the comics and Bernthal plays the part wonderfully.

Not only have there been rumors of a Punisher show coming to Hulu but there have also been whisperings of a Punisher cameo as soon as next year. Allegedly credible sources have suggested that Frank Castle will make his MCU debut in the upcoming series Moon Knight on Disney+ as a villain at first before teaming up with the titular character, much like his arc in Daredevil.
