Many fans have learned the dreaded news that season 5 of The Last Kingdom will, unfortunately, be the last. It’s a sad turn of events for fans who love the popular Netflix series. However, production is currently happening in Hungary, which is an exciting prospect. With production taking place, fans have been treated to a number of images from the actors we’ve all come to love.
Arnas Fedaravicius, who plays Sihtric, was recently photographed with Millie Brady, who plays Aethelflaed.
Season 5 of ‘The Last Kingdom’ is back in production, but it will be its last
Fans recently learned that the show is back in production. On April 30, 2021, a video was posted on the official social media channels with Alexander Dreymon, who plays Uhtred, announcing the news that the series is currently in production. Many of our favorite actors could be seen in the video, including Fedaravicius and Brady.
But that same day ahead of the news about production, fans learned about the series’ bitter end. The story is being cut short, and season 5 will be the final season. Deadline announced the news of the conclusion of the series with season 5, verifying the news with Netflix and Carnival Films.

On June 10, 2021, Fedaravicius shared an image on his Instagram alongside Brady. He tagged her in the post, and in it, Fedaravicius appears to have headphones on with sunglasses on as well while dressed in a black shirt with a plaid jacket. Brady stands by his wide with an arm up and her hair up as well. She looks away from the camera while wearing a black shirt with a tiger on it. In front of Fedaravicius is what could be a DJ controller.
Fedaravicius captioned the post on Instagram: “Stank face – the highest form of respect and appreciation anyone playing music can get.” He goes on to tag Brady’s account, saying, “@millie_brady ‘s stank face?? Literally, Ms. Grammy called me right after this photo was taken to tell me ‘you can’t win by playing other people’s music.’ We shall see about that, Ms. Grammy we shall see about that.” Over 12,000 people liked the post, and over 100 people commented on it.
Sihtric and Aethelflaed in ‘The Last Kingdom’
Fedaravicius plays Sihtric in the series. Sihtric is the son of Kjartan (Alexandre Willaume), born out of wedlock. He becomes a good friend to Uhtred, and he’s a warrior sworn to him. He always seems to be by Uhtred’s side.
Brady plays Aethelflaed, who is the daughter of King Alfred the Great (David Dawson). She is Uhtred’s lover at one point, and she becomes the ruler of Mercia in season 4.
It’s always nice to see images of our favorite actors from The Last Kingdom together. Hopefully, we’ll get to see even more photos before season 5 concludes.
